Wizards of Waverly Place Information
Wizards premiered on October 12, 2007 to relatively little fanfare. This live action series has a very simmilar writing style to Hannah Montana and is clearly disigned as a vehicle for the show's star Selena Gomez who plays Alex Russo. Selena's first known disney project was the Lizzie McGuire spinoff Stevie Sanchez which was not picked up. Selena has also guest stared on Hannah Montana.
The first season of WOWP is currently playing on DC, and we at SDS expect it will be picked up for a second season. However, SDS webmaster Greg finds it troubling that the WOWP premiere did not place on the Cable TV top 20 Telecasts For 2007 which might put future seasons of this show in jeopordy. For this reason, we urge all fans to join our mailing list so we may contact you should anything happen to the show.
